WABS Performance at Pavillion Theatre
Mad4Dance is proud to be part of the Wessex Association of Ballet Schools (WABS), a charity of 8 local dance schools working together to provide children and young people with dance training and performance opportunities.
Some of our ADP and Rising Star students recently performed in the annual show at the Bournemouth Pavillion Theatre, this year called 'The Art of Dance'. The day was a truly special experience for our students, giving them the chance to perform 2 routines on a fantastic stage and supporting peers from other local schools. It was wonderful to see their hard work and love for dance come to life in front of a packed audience, and we had a lovely time in between shows for our annual Pizza meal! Special memories!
A huge well done to everyone involved—you made us so proud!
Living Advent Calendar - Raising Money for Macmillan Local Hospice
Each year Christchurch Rotary organise a Living Advent Calendar event around Christchurch. On Sunday, Dangerous Crew, Dynasty Crew, G2 Modern, Musical Theatre and ADP Purple classes took part in surprise performances as Mad4Dance hosted the 15th day of Advent!
We love welcoming our local community through our doors each year in the lead up to Christmas and thank you to everyone who attended the event. Through your generosity we were able to raise almost £500 for Macmillan Local Hospice through the raffle sales which we are so pleased about!

Spotlight on Exams
At Mad4Dance, we are proud to offer our students the opportunity to take ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) exams in Ballet, Modern, Street, and Tap. These exams are more than just a test of ability; they’re a way to support your child’s growth as a dancer while encouraging the development of personal, technical, and social skills that extend far beyond the dance studio.
Why Take Part in Dance Exams?
ISTD exams provide students with a clear and structured pathway for progression in their dance journey. The syllabus is designed to be safe, age-appropriate, and challenging, helping students to develop technical ability, musicality, and performance skills. Each level provides achievable goals that instill discipline, focus, and an incredible sense of achievement.
Benefits of Dance Exams
Personal Growth - Dance exams help build confidence, commitment, and goal-setting skills, allowing our students to develop into motivated and empowered young performers.
Technical Progression - Working towards exams enables structured progression, helping students develop their technique and deepen their understanding of their skills as they meet the entry requirements.
Recognition and Achievement - Each successful exam culminates in a formal qualification or medal, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of the student. Grades and vocational exams even carry UCAS points, offering potential benefits for further education.
Fun and Empowering ExperiencesWorking towards an exam together as a class is a special experience that allows students to bond and feel a great sense of achievement, both individually and as a team.
Looking Ahead
This year, we’ve been thrilled to see our students flourish in their exams, and we look forward to entering even more students next year. We are committed to helping every student achieve their full potential, and we can’t wait to see what they achieve next! 💜
