ISTD Street Dance Exam Day
We are incredibly proud of all our Street Dance students who took part in the ISTD Street Dance Exam Day in March. For many of them, this was their first-ever experience of a dance medal test, and they were amazing!
The ISTD Street Dance Awards are designed to encourage an exploration of different Street Dance styles while helping our students build a deeper appreciation and enjoyment for the art form. This was a fantastic opportunity for our dancers to showcase their skills, be evaluated by an experienced examiner, and receive Pass, Commended, or Honours certificates based on their performance.
Taking part in these exams is a huge confidence booster, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the effort and dedication shown by every student. Well done to all who took part!!!

Spotlight on M4D Internal Dance Exams
At Mad4Dance, we are excited to introduce our Internal Dance Examinations for syllabus classes. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to experience a formal assessment setting, gain valuable feedback, and celebrate their progress in a supportive environment.
A Supportive Assessment Experience
This internal exam focuses on recognising achievements and encouraging growth. Students will receive feedback on their technique, musicality, and performance quality, helping them to develop their skills and confidence in preparation for future ISTD external exams.
Guidance from an Industry Professional
The examination will be assessed by an experienced and highly qualified external professional specialising in the ISTD syllabus. Their expertise ensures a constructive and rewarding experience for all students, helping them understand their strengths and areas for further development.
Building Confidence & Progression
At Mad4Dance, we prioritise each student’s progress and well-being. This internal exam is designed to enhance their training while promoting inclusivity and safe dance practice. It also serves as excellent preparation for future official ISTD examinations, offering the chance to get used to exam settings and formats, and the work level required to enter external ISTD exams in the future.
Celebrating Achievement
Students who demonstrate a strong understanding of the syllabus and a consistent work ethic in their classes will be invited to take part in the internal examination when we feel they are ready for this next step in their development. Every student who takes part will receive a certificate of achievement, recognising their passion and progress. We believe this is a wonderful way to motivate and inspire our dancers as they continue their journey.
This is an exciting step for our syllabus-class students, and we can't wait to see them grow!

ADP News and Updates
Recent Performance at 'Loved Ones Lost'!
Our ADP students were so proud to have been a part of Loved Ones Lost 2025 at the Layard Theatre this year. For the past four years (including an online version in 2021!), Gina from M4D teaching team has produced this unique variety show. It is a special event featuring professional vocalists, dancers, and aerialists is held in loving memory of her late father, who struggled with mental health challenges and addictions. All proceeds raised from the show are donated to services and charities that support these causes.
This year, Loved Ones Lost raised an AMAZING total of £3130 which has been donated to Alro, The Samaritans and the ACTs team at Poole Hospital.
Our ADP students felt privileged to take part in this special event, and their performance was absolutely beautiful.
ADP Assessments In Full Swing!
We are currently assessing all Rising Stars in their classes for potential invitations to our ADP Associate Program. This process helps us recognise students who show exceptional commitment, passion, and the technical potential to take their training to the next level.
At Mad4Dance, we understand that every dancer’s journey is different. Our invitation process is carefully considered to ensure that when a student is invited, it’s because we truly believe the program will be a positive and rewarding step for them. Timing is key—we want students to feel ready, confident, and excited for the challenges ahead.
For those who would like to be considered for ADP training, the first step is becoming a Mad4Dance Rising Star. Rising Stars take a minimum of three classes per week, including Modern, Ballet, and a class of their choice. All ADP students take a minimum of their 3 classes per week alongside their ADP associate program training.
Our Rising Stars gain access to more performance opportunities, Rising Star parties and also have reserved spaces at The ADP Experience Day, where they can take part in workshops with industry professionals and watch the ADP show during show year.
We love seeing our Rising Stars grow in skill and confidence, and for some, this may lead to an exciting next step into ADP.
Upcoming Performance Reminder!

We’re so proud of our students and can’t wait to see them perform on this incredible stage.

Crews: Origins Performance Day!
We’re SO proud of our crews who took part in Origins 2025, a youth dance showcase at Pavilion Dance. This event is all about celebrating different dance styles and giving young dancers the chance to perform in a professional setting.
Our crews had an amazing time, getting involved in workshops where they explored new styles and pushed their boundaries. It was a great opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun alongside other young dancers from local groups too.
In the evening, they gave their all in the performance, showing off everything they had worked on over the past couple of months in rehearsals. It was a special day, and we couldn’t be more proud of our Crew students!
